THE PROGRAM

From system preparation to production deployment: an engineer's 18-month campaign for the 2027 Tillotson T4 Ireland Championship.

System Optimization

Pahim Racing exists at the intersection of elite software engineering and competitive motorsport. The 2027 Tillotson T4 Ireland Championship is a complex system optimization problem with measurable inputs, testable hypotheses, and quantifiable outputs.

The objective: demonstrate that professional discipline, open-source methodology, and data-driven iteration can outperform traditional intuition-based racing models. Every variable, from driver mass to cornering trajectory, is a parameter to be measured, analyzed, and optimized.

What's Next

The rookie season generates the data. Post-season, every race, every lap, and every decision is reviewed through the same engineering lens applied to the preparation phase. Data-driven iteration on driver performance, chassis setup, and race strategy informs the Year 2 campaign.

Lap-by-lap regression analysis: correlating driver inputs, setup changes, and track conditions to identify the highest-leverage variables
Setup knowledge base: documenting chassis tuning decisions and their measurable effects across different circuits and conditions
Year 2 strategy: transitioning from data collection to targeted performance gains, informed by a full season of baselines

Amador Pahim

Senior Principal Software Engineer at Red Hat, specializing in virtualization, automation, and systems architecture. The same methodology used to design and operate enterprise-scale platforms (rigorous testing, observable systems, iterative improvement) is applied to every aspect of this campaign.

Motorsport is not new territory. Amador competed in a Brazilian state karting championship as a teenager, racing two seasons in a 2-stroke IAME series that built the foundational racecraft now being reactivated. A lifelong passion for racing, shaped by growing up watching Senna, never left. Karting remained a constant through the years, but the discovery of Ireland's Tillotson T4 Championship, a sealed-engine series where engineering discipline outweighs budget, was the catalyst to return to serious competition.
